Welcoming our new developer Kristina!
We’re happy to welcome Kristina to the AD team as our new Front-end Developer! Like all new recruits, we’ve asked her some fun “get to know you” questions so you can learn more about our latest team member.
What attracted you to After Digital?
I was keen to take on a new challenge, and After Digital offered me the chance to work with modern frontend technologies such as React and Vue.js— over an array of exciting clients. Additionally, the opportunity to work closely with others in a tight-knit team is something I really enjoy.
Tell us a bit about what you did before joining After Digital.
Since graduating from university, I’ve been developing my skills on freelance, agency, and software development projects. I’ve been lucky to get the chance to work on projects for industry leaders in healthcare, travel and finance. While I enjoyed working as a freelancer as it challenged me to use a range of skills, including small amounts of design work, I prefer the comradery of being part of a team.
What do you bring to the team?
I’m a team player and always want to do my best to help everyone succeed however I can. In addition, while I’ve got some experience under my belt, I’m always keen to learn more and collaborate with the team.
What do you do in your spare time?
I spend a lot of my spare time on sporting endeavours being an active member of both a martial arts and a running club, as well as more recently trying my hand at sprint triathlons. My other passion is music, and I relish the opportunity to attend as many gigs and festivals as possible.
What’s your favourite thing about what you do?
My favourite thing is the satisfaction of being able to bring people’s visions to life. It’s a great feeling when it all comes together and you deliver what a client needs.
Are you a starter/main course or main course/dessert type of person?
I’d say main course/dessert, I’m a wee bit fussy sometimes, so starters can be hit or miss, but you can’t go wrong with a good tiramisu or chocolate fudge cake.
What is the most interesting (be that cool, random or otherwise!) thing that’s ever happened to you?
I’ve been on the Download festival main stage during one of the band's sets (as they invited some of the audience up on stage). It was pretty amazing to see everything from that perspective even just for one song.

If you could watch only one TV show/ film for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I’d pick one of the Austin Powers movies because I’ve seen them all loads of times, but they always make me laugh, let's say Goldmember. If it was a TV show, then Friends as it’s endlessly rewatchable.
You’re stranded on an island, what are the three things you would take with you?
My dogs, a good book (The Picture of Dorian Gray), and a mosquito net (the midges love me, but it’s unrequited!)
Which celeb would play you in a movie?
Not that we particularly look alike, but Milla Jovovich because she could add in some really cool fight scenes!
